'Lambeth should disappear!' - says Chilean Primate Hector Tito Zavala

'Lambeth should disappear! We need a new of being together.' says the Primate of Chile Hector Tito Zavala.

Archbishop Tito has called for a reordering of all four 'instruments of the Anglican Communion,' saying all have failed.

Tito says the Archbishop of Canterbury should be the head of the English Church, but the Anglican Communion needs a different elected head.

He says the Primates meeting is not working well as an authoritative body, citing the failure to apply discipline to the errant Episcopal Church in 1996.

'There should not be a meeting called Lambeth Conference in the future, rather there should be a global Anglican Conference' said Archbishop Tito.

He says the ACC was organised according to the mentality of the past and that there needs to be a new way.

'The ACC is working with and English mind, and the majority of the communion is not English.'

Bishop Zavala says the spirit at Gafcon is of one united spirit in Christ.
